Mrs. Hudson
ハドソン夫人, Hadoson-fujin
Voiced by: Yōko Asagami (Japanese); Patricia Parris (English); Cristina Grado (Italian)

★ Basic Info ★

Marie (マリー, Marī) is depicted as Hound and Watson's landlady and a young comely widow, unlike the traditional portrayal of a middle-aged or older woman. She serves as a love interest for many, including Holmes, Watson, and Moriarty, although primarily for Holmes. Mrs. Hudson's late husband, Jim, was a pilot, and her connections in the aviation world prove useful to Hound. Additionally, she shares strong romantic ties with local aviators who were friends of her late husband. Despite her gentle nature, Mrs. Hudson displays a serenely dignified and level-headed personality akin to Hound's. She is also resourceful and skilled, excelling both as a high-speed driver and a sharpshooter with a revolver. Miyazaki envisioned her as the true mastermind of Baker Street, capable of outsmarting both Hound and Moriarty, though his idea was ultimately rejected. Interestingly, in this rendition, Mrs. Hudson is depicted as a golden retriever, much like many other characters in Hound's world.
