OVERVIEW & HISTORICAL CONTEXT
The official Japanese theatrical cinema program sold in theaters during the summer of 1986.

Following the success of the 1984 theatrical double-bill, Tokuma Shoten paired these two additional Miyazaki-directed "Sherlock Hound" episodes as the supporting theatrical featurette accompanying the nationwide roadshow premiere of Studio Ghibli's classic animated film "Laputa: Castle in the Sky" (天空の城ラピュタ) on August 2, 1986.
